There are multiple artists recording under the name EEK. 1. EEK is the band of Egyptian keyboard virtuoso Islam Chipsy (real name Islam Said), an avant-garde keyboard virtuoso from Cairo, backed up by the two drummers Islam Ta’ta’ and Khaled Mando. Although Chipsy's keyboard is preset to familiar oriental scales, timbres and notes, he entirely de-constructs the typical shaabi sonic sphere, morphing it into something that is both familiar and outer worldly.
