She débuted with the track "Closer" (on In the City: Unsigned 2006, Oct 2006) and her latest album is Portrait (Oct 2012, Ark). Her music is inspired by the musicians of the Manchester area coupled with the musical heritage of her West African family. In her youth, house parties invariably centered on her mother’s collection of vinyl: highlife, soul and Congolese music.
